Magic City Harvest is a non-profit organization based in Birmingham, Alabama, that seeks to alleviate hunger and food insecurity in the area. They work to rescue surplus food from restaurants, grocery stores, and other sources, and distribute it to those in need through partner agencies. Magic City Harvest also provides education on nutrition and healthy eating, and advocates for policies that support food security in the community.

We are calling on the Mayor and City Council of Homewood to explore and enact bold policy measures similar to those adopted in other cities. Our goal is to transition Homewood to the use of reusable or biodegradable shopping bags, promoting a cleaner, healthier environment for all.

Salamander Festival
